Sandy Wheels 2026 in Lignano Sabbiadoro: two days dedicated to cycling

On 26 and 27 September 2026, Lignano Sabbiadoro invites cycling enthusiasts, families and riders of all levels to explore the seaside resort on two wheels with Sandy Wheels – Lignano Cycling Experience, an event dedicated to cycling, cycle tourism and discovering the local area.

Under the slogan “Closed roads, open nature”, Sandy Wheels offers a weekend of sport, excursions and outdoor activities, providing a different and sustainable way to explore Lignano Sabbiadoro at the end of summer.

The heart of the event will be Parco San Giovanni Bosco, the main meeting point for the many activities scheduled throughout the weekend.

Sandy Wheels 2026: what to see and do

One of the highlights of the event will be a 20 km cycling loop completely closed to motorised traffic, allowing participants to ride safely and freely through some of the most scenic areas of Lignano.

The programme also includes guided bike tours and cycling excursions to discover Lignano Sabbiadoro and its surroundings, with activities suitable for experienced cyclists as well as families looking to enjoy a fun day outdoors.

At the Bike Expo Village, visitors will be able to discover the latest cycling innovations, meet industry experts and learn more about the world of cycling and cycle tourism. The programme will also feature special encounters with experts and personalities from the cycling world.

Food lovers can stop at Bike & Bite Street Food, the event’s dedicated food area, perfect for enjoying a tasty break between one bike ride and the next.
