Esterno Verde – Oltre Lignano 2026: discover the hidden side of Lignano Sabbiadoro

Two weekends to discover a different side of Lignano Sabbiadoro, exploring its nature, architecture, history and landscape. On 5-6 September and 12-13 September 2026, the first edition of “Esterno Verde – Oltre Lignano” will take visitors on a journey through the historical, architectural and natural heritage of the peninsula, from the Marano Lagoon to the Tagliamento River.

A special opportunity to discover some of the lesser-known places in Lignano through themed itineraries, guided walks and extraordinary openings of sites that are not normally accessible to the public.

First weekend: 5 and 6 September

The first weekend will feature free themed itineraries and guided walks focusing on history, nature, architecture and urban development. The routes will tell the story of Lignano, from its first settlements and the pioneers of tourism to the distinctive architectural styles of Lignano Pineta and Lignano Riviera.

On Saturday, 5 September, visitors can also attend the live show of the narrative podcast “C’è vita nel grande nulla agricolo”.

Second weekend: 12 and 13 September

The second weekend will offer extraordinary access to some of the most fascinating and usually restricted places in Lignano Sabbiadoro, including the terrace of Torre Ariston, Casa Romanelli, the floating village of Marina Azzurra Resort, the Golf Club, Villa D’Olivo and the stone bridge at Hotel Marin, which will also host an illustrated exhibition.

The festival will come to an atmospheric close at sunset on Sunday, 13 September, on Isola delle Conchiglie, with stories and legends inspired by the sea.
